The course is divided in two modules. The first part offers an overview of the basic analog and digital electronics. The course focuses on semiconductor technology and devices, transistors' circuital model and simulation, digital electronics main devices. The second part deals with the fundamentals of the modern measurement science and uncertainty theory. Basic principles of the electrical instruments and their correct management. Measurement methods of the main electrical quantities. Modern measurement systems based on programmable instrumentation and PC-based data acquisition.
