Information literacy is the ability to solve problems with information at hand. It is
the ability to identify the need for information, find the information needed, and
use and communicate it effectively. An individual with information literacy is
equipped with skills to access and use the information needed for problem solving
and decision making. Information literacy not only ensures effectiveness and
efficiency in work life, but also is a must for sustainable democracy. It is also key
to lifelong learning.
The target audience of this two-week course is anyone at any age who is willing to
gain information literacy skills. Participants can contact the instructor to ask any
questions about the course.
